Highlights of school life

Every day at Kenthurst Public School is filled with excitement. It’s an environment where students learn, grow and belong and take part in various activities. The school is renowned for its sporting accomplishments, as well as providing students with a broad array of academic and extra-curricular opportunities. Key areas include our performing arts groups, our strong performances in NAPLAN and Check-In assessments, as well as participation in Spelling Bees, Public Speaking and High Potential and Gifted Education workshops, and our brilliant community involvement. There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

A year at our school

The Kenthurst community is very close-knit with many opportunities for the school and families to come together. We conduct Open Days, breakfasts and stalls for Mother's and Fathers Day, a Cracker Night as well as other regular events such as assemblies, sports carnivals and award ceremonies.

Our school performs strongly when competing against other schools in Friday PSSA competitions. We offer netball, soccer, NRL tag and softball. There are also swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals. Students progress to represent at Sydney West level and also at state level.

There are many opportunities for students to participate in extra-curricular activities. Students perform at the Sydney Opera House as part of the Festival of Choral Music, at Panthers as part of the Synergy Dance Festival and the Hills Performing Arts Festival and at the Orange Blossom Festival. Groups also perform at various assemblies throughout the year.
