Complaints and compliments

If you have a complaint, compliment or suggestion about any aspect of our services we're keen to hear from you.

Our commitment to you is that we will deal with your issue thoroughly and fairly.

Making a complaint

The basic procedures at our school are:

  • We are committed to resolving complaints promptly at a local level. If you wish to make a complaint at school, start first by talking to the teacher if it concerns your child. They know your child and are best placed to help you. It's best if you let them know about your concerns as early as possible. We encourage you to raise your complaint directly in person, by email, over the telephone or by letter if you prefer. Make an appropriate time to meet with them or phone the school and ask for an appointment with them.
  • For some matters it may be appropriate to talk to a more senior person. In this case you should ask to speak to the teacher's grade supervisor or the principal. In both cases you must contact the school to make an appointment to speak with them.
  • If your complaint cannot be resolved straight away, we may ask you to put the complaint in writing. It is important that you include specific details and tell us what you would like to happen as a result of the complaint.
  • For further information refer to the document making a complaint (PDF 86KB).
  • In all case above you may want to use our complaints and compliments form (PDF 126KB). You will need to print out the form and submit to the school.
